German-based system integrator Broadcast Solutions GmbH signed a distribution agreement with Mobile Viewpoint for the Asian region. Effective immediately Broadcast Solutions with its regional office in Singapore handles sales for the full products portfolio of the Dutch IP-solutions specialist.

With an experimental set-up and presentations, the event at Hochschule der Medien Stuttgart offers the opportunity to obtain in-depth information on HDR and live production. Broadcast Solutions signs a distribution agreement with Simplylive. Effective immediately the German-based system integrator will handle all sales in several regions and countries. With the distribution deal, Broadcast Solutions will bolster the market entry and coverage of Simplylive’s cutting-edge products. After intensive market evaluation and projects with Simplylive products already implemented, Broadcast Solutions sees massive potential for the live production, replay server and video referee solutions in the live and sports broadcasting industry.
As part of the ongoing project to implement a UHD remote production centre for customer Streamteam Nordic, Broadcast Solutions uses Simplylive’s products in a large scale. The project will be ready for the production of the Finnish ice hockey with more than 500 matches per year, starting in season 2018/2019. Video refereeing will be done at the central location, using the Simplylive’s Ref&Box product. Simplylive’s servers will be used also for SuperMotion replays and digital recording.

From April 11 to 12, German system integrator Broadcast Solutions GmbH will present integrated solutions for wireless IP-MESH communication at AFCEA. The presentation at stand ME 16 will focus on IP-based, mobile ad-hoc networks (MANet / MESH), which can be operated as a secure and robust communication infrastructure without having to resort to existing infrastructures. At stand ME 16, Broadcast Solutions will be presenting exemplary applications and a wireless communication network in live mode.

For producing the international football match between Germany and Brazil, German public broadcaster ZDF as a first timer in football used new possibilities for image composition leveraging the Robycam cable camera system and augmented reality elements. During the friendly, which took place on March 27 at Berlin Olympic Stadium, ZDF used the Robycam cable camera system along with a Broadcast Solutions production team. Together with augmented reality elements, implemented by the graphics service provider netventure production GmbH, new graphic elements could be inserted during the camera’s movement in the stadium. The Robycam signals, including the actual location data in the stadium, and the virtual graphics of netventure were mapped in the computer and then sent. Using these new innovative tools, ZDF was able to offer its viewers additional content and information, even while moving the cable camera system in the stadium.

Broadcast Solutions Builds New HD/UHD Control Facilities for NEP Sweden. NEP Sweden runs a large studio facility on the outskirts of Stockholm that houses three studios, of which studio 1 is the largest in Sweden at all. To handle the many productions even better and more efficiently, NEP Sweden decided to integrate fixed control rooms in the studio facility and assigned Broadcast Solutions GmbH with the project. Previously all productions were realised with OB Vans added to the building. In a close cooperation German system integrator Broadcast Solutions GmbH joined forces with NEP Sweden for planning and implementation of the HD/UHD control rooms.
