Broadcast Innovation Day in Bingen with top-class visitors from all around the world

This years’ Broadcast Innovation Day in Bingen saw the biggest number of visitors and exhibitors for the event ever. With high-quality exhibitors, panellists and visitors joining the company at its headquarters, the event was the place to be for people active in the broadcast business. With our production hall packed with more than ten OB Vans in all sizes (from a Streamline S12 to a tailor-made 30 camera OB Van for Al-Kass) visitors could see first-hand how Broadcast Solutions plans and builds outside broadcasting vehicles. Even more, with major brands from the industry showing their solutions and products, the exhibition area served as an information and networking opportunity to talk about technology and projects. With lectures and panel discussions the day offered insights into future topics like 4K and IP from business leaders that shared their ideas with the audience. Special highlights of the day were the two panel discussions with CEOs, CTOs and technology specialists discussing vibrantly their ideas of future technologies like the path to IP, 4K and HDR in reality and how they will affect the broadcast business.

Further must-sees for visitors were presented at the outdoor area, where a Robycam cable camera system was used in live mode flying over the heads of the visitors presenting spectacular images. As a world premier visitors had the chance to see the 3 IN 2 OUT 4K 50p servers from – the only 4K system available today that works in one unit. BlackJack works as a 5-channel 4K50p slow-motion unit or can be used for recording up to 16 channels 3G with 3 operators editing (slomo and highlights) up to 4 channels simultaneously. Next generation Satcom On The Move technology was at display with a live demo, using Broadcast Solutions’ ground-breaking Satcom on the Move solution, which allows for data and video transmission while on the move. For the first time in Europe, 4.5 Mb HD quality video was transmitted while driving. The transmission was a standard SNG setup and received on location with a receive dish as small as 1.5 meter.

With this Broadcast Innovation Day once again Broadcast Solutions underlined its role as an innovation leader. Even more the event firmly established itself as a “must” in the calendar of professionals in the broadcast business.

A big thank you to all visitors, friends and partners– and see you soon.
