The systems integration specialist Broadcast Solution realised the latest concept by incorporating the necessary technology and various connection possibilities into a compact vehicle. Equipped with a 4-wheel drive, air conditioning, UPS, cable drums and equipment, the new production tool, called COSMO, weighs less than 3.5 tonnes and offers a maximum of workflows and equipment in the smallest possible space.

Studio Berlin has added a new large UHD/HDR OB van to its fleet, U10, which has already been successfully used to broadcast the German Television Award (RTL). OB van U10 is designed as a trailer with two extensions (one over the entire length and one in the audio control room). With around 60 m2, the vehicle offers 26 workstations with people benefitting from a relaxed working atmosphere. U10 can handle productions with up to 24 UHD/HDR cameras, plus additional wireless cameras.

O2 Czech Republic ramps up its OB van fleet with a new Streamline S12T OB from Broadcast Solutions

The mobile network company O2 Czech Republic covers the country’s major soccer league for a couple of years now. With additional games and projects being on the table the company added a new Broadcast Solutions Streamline OB van to its fleet, complementing an existing model systems integrator Broadcast Solutions delivered a couple of years ago. The new OB van is a S12T from the Streamline OB van family (based on a truck chassis) and works with up to 12 cameras (HD). As was the case for the first OB Broadcast Solutions again cooperated with Slovak partners ELEKTRONIKA a.s. and IVC s.r.o. to build and deliver the Streamline S12T to the customer.

Full-IP OB Twins Usher in a New Era for Belgium’s RTBF

In early April 2020, RTBF, Belgium’s public broadcaster for the country’s French-speaking community, took delivery of the first of two groundbreaking, full-IP OB trucks. Due to the COVID-19 lockdown, the 12 m long trailer had to be configured remotely using TeamViewer, a few web cameras and microphones for confirmation purposes as well as via VPN in order to be delivered on time. The second identical OB truck, also built by Broadcast Solutions, will arrive in July.
